Nelson's second string put in a welcoming performance to brush aside testing opposition on Wednesday night.

Bradders scored both - you can be almost sure they weren't tap-ins!
It was the side's first friendly of the new campaign, and they took on West Lancashire League side Todmorden Borough, against whom the senior side only just scraped home against in a pre-season friendly twelve months ago.

The Blues were being overseen by the new management team of Ian Gregory, Simon Hewitt and Ronnie Ingham, and came out on top against the Division Two side thanks to a brace from Craig Bradshaw.

The management blooded a team comprising of many of the side which won the Reserves Division Cup against Nantwich Town in May, along with several new players they were interested in taking a look at.

The next friendly for the team is scheduled for Tuesday 1st August, when they will be travelling the short distance to Burnley Belvedere.
