Nelson's second string won again on Saturday, coming from behind to secure victory against Chadderton. Bill Stell reports:
Nelson found themselves a goal behind after only one minute and struggled to find their rhythm early on. They fought their way back into the game though, and Pete Crossley equalised after 20 mins with a tap-in on the line. However, their lead did not last long as Chadderton went ahead again almost immediately. Despite having a few chances Nelson could not find another equaliser and went into the break 2-1 down.
The second half saw a much improved performance and they were on level terms again midway through the half with a well taken goal from Caton.
This time Nelson were determined not to allow the visitors a way back into the game and continued to press for a winner. And two goals in five minutes from leading marksman Gaskill sealed it.
