Club captain Mick Charlton has left the Club to join up with his good friend down at Atherton Collieries.
Phil Simpson reported today in the Nelson Leader that our long serving captain, famous for his "Come on Nelson, hey!" chant on the pitch, has moved to First Division strugglers Atherton Collieries in an attempt to help out the manager down there, who is a good friend of his.
