David Hall last week tendered his resignation after 10 months as Nelson's first team manager.
Hall explained to the Nelson Leader that he'd been mulling over the decision for a few weeks as he felt he had taken the team as far as he could.
He resigned after the superb away win at Ramsbottom in the Lancashire FA Trophy ten days ago. Mick Molloy has stepped up from reserve team manager to take over at the helm.
