It was a decent start to life in the North West Counties League for the three new teams on Saturday.

Cammell Laird also kicked off with an away game, but had to settle for a share of the spoils at The Arbories against Padiham, with Cooke cancelling out Almond's strike for the Storks.
Holker Old Boys are the first table toppers of the season after a shock 6-0 win at Leek CSOB. The Staffordshire side had shown some decent form towards the end of last season, but were swept aside by the team from Barrow, for whom Swarbrick netted a hat-trick.
There were other victories for Chadderton, who held off a late Cheadle Town fightback to claim a 3-2 away success, and last seasons whipping boys Castleton Gabriels, who netted a last minute goal at home to Darwen.
As well as Nelson's draw at Winsford United, Ashton Town and Blackpool Mechanics shared four goals, and Oldham Town and Flixton shared the spoils after a goal apiece in the first half.
With an odd number of teams in the division this season, Eccleshall didn't play and will kick off their season tomorrow night.
