Denis Underwood has become Nelson's second managerial casualty of the season following a poor run of results.
Chairman Alan Pickering came to the decision with Underwood following the latter's return from a business trip last Friday evening.The official club statement will appear online shortly.

Personally, I wish Denis all the best in the future. As Dave Priestley has mentioned in previous match reports, he was certainly very approachable throughout his tenure, easy to talk to, and indeed appeared to have the right positive attitude.
But that said, the standard throughout the team had noticeably deteriorated from the one he inherited back in November. Denis had always said he was taking stock of the situation in readiness for next season, but he's paid the price for a series of below-par performances.
