Nelson have been drawn at home to First Division side Great Harwood Town in the First Round of the Lancashire FA Marsden Challenge Trophy.

It's a competition which provided us with two of the best games of last season.

The first of them saw Blues travel to First Division Ramsbottom United in the Second Round and put in a wonderful performance to edge a pulsating tie 3-2.

That win setup a home clash against Conference side Morecambe in the quarter final, where incredibly we took an early lead and held it until five minutes before the interval in a game played in a blizzard which somehow added to the enjoyment.

Class told in the end in that game as expected, and, with Nelson tiring, the visitors left Victoria Park with a rather flattering 6-2 win under their belt.

However, another run and couple of games in that mould this season and we won't be complaining.
